At River Oaks, "Missions" is not a program or ministry; it is the reason for our existence! We believe that as followers of Jesus Christ we are to accept the privilege and honor of being His witnesses in this hurting and lost world by showing His great mercy, grace, peace and love.
It is our heart's desire for God to use us for His glory and to increase His kingdom here on earth. We seek to sow seeds that will grow and bear much fruit for the Kingdom of God, and we do that by serving as a church and as individuals in our "Go Global" missions.
"If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail."
