Welcome to River Oaks!
On March 21, 1999, we held our first worship service at Forsyth Country Day School. From the very beginning, we wanted to create a church where those who have spiritual questions feel comfortable-even eager-to attend.
Since February 12, 2006, we have been holding worship services at our current location on Lewisville-Clemmons Road. While our location and size have changed, our core values have not. We are still committed to the worship of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Bible as God’s inspired Word, and our dependence upon prayer as the foundation of everything we do.
Service Times
What happens on Sunday?
We have two identical contemporary worship services at 9:15 and 11am. During these services there are programs for children ages birth to fifth grade. Our programs for middle school and high school students are on Sunday afternoon. Some of our adult small groups meet on Sunday evening.

You Can Be Yourself
At River Oaks, we welcome everyone with warmth and love, and encourage you to wear whatever you are comfortable in. Our Coffee Bar is a large open area with relaxed seating that we've designed to help you meet people and connect with friends. Each Sunday we offer free coffee and muffins.
A Safe and Loving Environment
The safety of your children is extremely important to us. All of our children's ministry volunteers undergo a national background check. We use an electronic check-in process and have security personnel located throughout the building. If for any reason we need to contact you during the service, we can do so very quickly with an automated system that sends you a text and displays your child's security number on our screens in the Sanctuary.
Nursery and PReSCHOOL
Noah’s Ark is an environment created especially for infants through preschool-aged children. During these first years, we know that young children grow and learn at a rapid rate. This is why we strive to lay a strong spiritual foundation in the life of each child.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Kid’s ROCC is a fast-paced, exciting, and fun learning environment designed for elementary-aged kids that takes place in the gym. Each week, children are taught the Bible in creative ways that are age-appropriate and relevant to their lives today.
