A Prayer for Spiritual Renewal
Father,
I come to you in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ. I pray, search me, O God, and know my heart. Test me and know my thoughts. See if there is any evil way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Please enable me to recognize and repent of all sins of:
- Pride
- Self-centeredness
- Resentment
- Covetousness
- Lust
- Gluttony
- Lack of compassion for those who are lost, hurting, or in need
- Unbelief and lack of trust in you
Thank you for being faithful and just to forgive me for my sins and to cleanse me of all unrighteousness.
Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. Give me a greater desire to seek you in prayer and in the study of your Word. Build in me greater humility, holiness, and love for others. Please fill me with the power of your Holy Spirit so I can be a witness to others. Teach me to walk with you daily and to glorify you in all I do.
